OP, if someone from social services comes to do an assessment on the amount of care you need you have to play the situation up as much as possible. There’s not enough money in social care and they will often not recommend enough hours. Once the assessment is done it’s too late.
macmillan were great with my mother in law as is Marie curie but it depends what help is available in your area especially with covid restrictions.
