Firewall between semi detached properties

Hello forum,
Looking for some advice? so i am looking to sell my property (semi detached house) in the near future.
it was built around 1920's and have noticed since living here (8 years) that there seems to be no 'firewall' or any kind of partition in the upstairs attic between my home and my next door neighbor, there is hardly space and would be a tight squeeze for to be able to get in this space but none the less still possible.
i am going to be getting a home report done and wondered what happens if this is flagged up? will it need to be sorted by me? and does anyone know rough costs if so?
any info on this matter will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
(P.S. i have the original home report and am going to dig it out but im sure it had something along the lines of 'inaccessible at time of report' or something along those lines)

So much to read, so little time.2 -
It was commonplace in older properties for there to be nothing dividing properties in the roofspace so I wouldn't expect it to cause any problems.

So there's nothing stopping your neighbour accessing your property via your loft hatch?

Hi Darren. If it's noticed during the survey, it'll likely be reported, along with the usual 'cover-all' recommendation to have a FW instated. This isn't your responsibility, and it's up to any potential buyer how to respond. I would hope that any survey would point out that it's quite typical for such houses to not have a firewall up there, so the buyer may wish to - or it's recommended to - add one for additional whatsit. What would I d about it? Nothing. If it threatened to become a deal-breaker? Probably offer to go halves.Would the house be safer with one? Surely 'yes'.1

There's always a risk that the buyer's mortgage company will hear from their surveyor that there's no firewall. If so, they may insist that a wall is built as part of the conditions of the mortgage.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Thanks for all the replies!
I didn't have any notifications so just seen these, thanks for taking the time.
I have a home report on 1st of April, so can let you guys know if anyone is interested on the outcome?
Thanks again1 -
Yes - we ALWAYS want to hear the outcomes.
