I noticed that all my listings in FB marketplace have been under review for 2 days.  Messaging other local selling groups everyone's having the same issues, so everyone's trying to list but nothings being approved.  Does anyone know why this is happening? Someone said it's to do with new algorithms for business customers. Help!

Might be better asking @soolin to move this to the eBay and online selling section.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

I just came on here to see about listings being stuck in review, as I listed a few things on Saturday that are still under review so I guess it must be a problem with Facebook marketplace. I was worried something had happened with my account. Hopefully they’ll go live soon!

I didn't list over the weekend as I'm working but just out of interest I listed one during my lunchbreak and it still shows as under review- when usually it switches after 10 minutes or so at most. I'll keep checking back, but I have had a sale today but that item was listed last week.

Edit - my listing also seems stuck at 'under review'.

  • Looks like it's a nationwide issue, just hope someone will shed light on the problem. I think I've opened up a hornet's nest, there must be 1000's of folk wondering why their items aren't being listed. Myself I think FB are trying to freeze out private sellers who list for free, but what do I know lol! Let's spread the word something will have to be done then.

I'm not sure this is a conspiracy, much as I do like a good conspiracy theory! At the moment marketplace is free and does not differentiate between business and private- I am aware that in the US it is very different and no doubt will be rolled out over here with paid for listings and other costs. However it would seem counter productive to stop people listing if at any point in the near future they are going to expect them to sign up for a paid site . I suspect this is just a glitch, facebook generally has bene having a number of issues around downtime, last week the messaging service on the app went down- this is not unusual and will probably just get resolved with no explanation or apology.

I'm also not sure who we would roll it out to if we did want to make a fuss, facebook don't even offer marketplace to everyone, they take the ability to list away with very little warning or notice and with virtually no appeal. If they chose to take the service down (and I reiterate I believe this to be merely another glitch) then they can do so, it doesn't make them any money.

My trial one I listed yesterday is still showing as under review, and there’s beginning to get quite a lot of mention of this on various groups. It appears to also be affecting a few US sellers as well and some of them already have to pay for their listings.

Messenger was down for me last Friday , I responded several times to one buyer but my messages didn't show up at my end and buyer stopped responding mid conversation so I assume my messages finally stopped getting to them as well.

However I have sold about 7 things since then so it is obviously  intermittent.
