Looks like it's a nationwide issue, just hope someone will shed light on the problem. I think I've opened up a hornet's nest, there must be 1000's of folk wondering why their items aren't being listed. Myself I think FB are trying to freeze out private sellers who list for free, but what do I know lol! Let's spread the word something will have to be done then.
I'm not sure this is a conspiracy, much as I do like a good conspiracy theory! At the moment marketplace is free and does not differentiate between business and private- I am aware that in the US it is very different and no doubt will be rolled out over here with paid for listings and other costs. However it would seem counter productive to stop people listing if at any point in the near future they are going to expect them to sign up for a paid site . I suspect this is just a glitch, facebook generally has bene having a number of issues around downtime, last week the messaging service on the app went down- this is not unusual and will probably just get resolved with no explanation or apology.

I'm also not sure who we would roll it out to if we did want to make a fuss, facebook don't even offer marketplace to everyone, they take the ability to list away with very little warning or notice and with virtually no appeal. If they chose to take the service down (and I reiterate I believe this to be merely another glitch) then they can do so, it doesn't make them any money.

Since posting yesterday some listings have now gone live (not mine), most have not. A fellow marketplace seller opened a new FB profile and her stuff was listed straight away. Items posted straight onto a group by not ticking the market place box are put on quickly as well. My partner's listing from yesterday has been approved but he doesn't list that much. So still not sure what's going on. I'll keep you posted.

For me stuff listed direct to groups has not been affected at all, it is only marketplace that is showing this glitch.

Marketplace is always glitchy, crashes my phone every time I'm trying view it. Though ok on ipad or desktop
  • sigh , an item I posted on last FRIDAY  , and was pending , has after 4 day gone live , I knew it had gone live because I recieved a reply to the advert , and replied , upon checking users name they are in london , some 250 miles away , so they must have seen "a Fleeting" split second listing before the robots pulled it and sat it in a corner for 5 days "on review " or perhaps it appeared for a few moments early on SATURDAY

look at the time that the guy messaged me and the date , this arrived in my inbox this morning  I replied at 10.17 this morning

I seem to have upset someone at FB as when I came to add a new listing (only my 4th this week and my 4th of all time) it let me input the details then told me I wasn't allowed to buy/sell anymore. I've had top open a support case to see what's going on.
I've since posted the same stuff on gumtree. If all else fails it's just going to the tip as it seems fleabay fees are now 10% and I don't have the patient to deal with some of the people who message through ebay  :|

I know FB is free (well, "cash" free, not "we have all your data" free) but it really isn't worth what you pay for it...

I've been trying to edit a Marketplace listing for two days - when I click on "edit" I get a blank white square with the word Preview above it.
