Who to contact for shares

my father passed away recently and had a share certificate from his time he worked for bookers. Can not track done were to cash these in have tried equities with no luck who do I need to contact, any help much appreciated.

    The original Bookers share certificate itself will be worthless after their takeover by Tesco in 2018 - each share was swapped for 0.861 Tesco shares and 42.5p cash, so he should have received a Tesco shareholding instead.  Tesco's registrar, Equiniti, should be able to advise, or is that perhaps what you meant by "tried equities with no luck"?
