Claiming 100% refund

Hi, I booked flights through PH Travel / Getaflight a year ago which were then cancelled by Emirates due to covid19. I chose the 24 month open ticket and contacted the company a week ago to rebook same flights for later this year. They are trying to charge me an extra £500 on top of the fare difference and will not be transparent over this. If I claim a refund, they will deduct similar from the amount too and it also appears that many customers are still waiting a year on for any refund money back. I am stuck now not being able to rebook as I must go through the agents and my emails and calls are left hanging and company do not reply when promised as I questioned their reasoning. I cannot claim a chargeback as the original tickets were bought more than 120 days ago. Emirates cannot help as they are unused tickets. Can anyone help me solve this stalemate please so I am not being made a scapegoat for these rogues? I just want to be dealt with fairly.

not sure how many passengers that is for but I would point out to them that their terms and conditions (which I assume you agreed to) state their administration fee is £75 per passenger and that is the amount you expect to pay on top of any fare difference. They may well charge the administration fee twice...once for processing the airline cancellation and organising the open ticket at the time and secondly for setting up the new booking....but that would then be £150...not £500Suex2 said:They are trying to charge me an extra £500 on top of the fare difference and will not be transparent over this.1 -
The problem the OP has that they will not speak to her or answer her emails.1

I'd certainly register your issue with the CMA. Though they cannot resolve it. Drawing attention will help on a broader level.

If you read the reviews on Trustpilot you wouldn't touch them with a bargepole and the address they use appears to be an upstairs flat above a shop. This is one of many businesses that appear to operate from abroad and judging by the reviews you may need to sue to get your money back. They claim to be members of ABTA who will help you with your complaint so you might want to contact them first1
