I think it depends on what you are used to, I happily drive over 900 miles back from Spain in a day.Pollycat said:I wouldn't really like to drive 500 miles in a single day, let alone have dental treatment.Absolutely.My OH who used to drive a long distance to and from work would have had a different opinion to me when he was still working. But I thought it was worth mentioning.0 -
Indeed. However, we are not clear if the OP is experienced in that area, nor do we know if they are being driven, using public transport, staying overnight and there is always a greater possibility of having a vehicle breakdown, or accident, etc, etc. Therefore, during lock-down, one would need to weigh up all the risks during a 500 mile round trip in possibly a day and the consequences of any mishaps and risks to others and themselves.spiro said:

IMHO, I would be hard pushed to meet someone that would do a 500 round trip for a dental trip and the risk of this dental work not being spot on then having to return to have it sorted out.
The above is what I would consider along with the urgency of the work. As I said OP, I hope it goes all well for you whatever you do.0 -
After having, say, a local anaesthetic?spiro said:

I don't think the point was that 500 miles in itself is too much, but that depending on the dental treatment they have, it may not mix well with a lengthy drive home.0
