Can you buy treated 150mm x 150mm timber

I’m looking to make a couple of chunky wooden garden chairs and would ideally like to use 4 pieces of 150 x 150 timer stacked on top of one another for the arms.  Where can you buy 150mm x 150mm (6” x 6”) treated timber?  Or what alternative do I have?

Local timber merchant is the obvious first place to enquire of.

6x6 is more like a gate post size than a fence post size.
Local agricultural merchants if you have one.

My word they are going to be very heavy - do you really mean 150 x 150  or perhaps something like 100 (4 inch) wide and 50 (2 inch) deep ?

Thanks all, I'm not 100% confirmed on the 6" x 6", but it needs to be 'chunkier' than 4x2" I think.   I noticed Wickes do jumbo sleepers that are 125mm x 250mm so 2 stacked on top of one another would suffice, giving an arm rest height of 500mm.
    Thanks everyone

If they really are railway sleepers don't use them for something like this.
They stink when they get warm !!

Stuart ive found 6x6 gate posts locally, 2.4m for £28 each, any idea if they will smell when warm like sleepers?  (random question i know)

The original railway sleepers were soaked in creosote. Modern gate posts are treated differently, so as long as they are outside will probably be OK. I've got some holding a 5 bar gate, but have never really noticed anything.

They will have a slight smell as they are probably treated with Tanalith.
The smell will fade over a few weeks unlike railway sleepers.
