Cost for new plumbing for a dishwasher??

We are house hunting atm. We have finally found a property we like but the kitchen is on the small side with no dishwasher . It currently only has space for a washing machine. We were thinking of taking out one of the cupboards in the kitchen and having a dishwasher there but there is currently no plumbing there for it so i guess we'd have to get a plumber in to put in new pipes for it? It would be about 3 metres from the sink.
Anyone know how much roughly it would cost? I have no idea. Ive tried to google it but dont get a straight answer.
Thanks.

At 3m distance, several units will need to be pulled out and some temporary support provided for the worktop (unless it too can be removed). This is not a trivial task and getting everything level afterwards is going to be difficult. Assuming there is a sufficiently large service space behind the units, plumbing will be a straight forward task once everything is out of the way. Most of the cost will be in removing & reinstating the base units - You may want to put off the installation until you fit a new kitchen.Dishwashers are wasteful of water, and unless you have a large family, a bowl in the sink is just as easy in my opinion..Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Thanks for your advise.
Might have to think about it a bit more , or continue to house hunt =/0 -
You can get extension hoses for both the water and waste. Used them for my son's dishwasher in his last house, about 2.5 metres of extra pipes, worked no problems. Drilled holes in the side of the cupboards and clipped the hoses along the inside top round to the sink. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Washing-Machine-Hose-Water-Fill-Pipe-Drain-Outlet-Hose-Extension-Kit-2-5-Metre/402746532559?hash=item5dc59062cf:g:OaoAAOSwtsRgTJ-CSplitters available for the water and waste connections under the sink depending on need.

1. You need to check the manufacturer's instructions to determine the maximum length of waste hose allowed.
2. I'd strongly advise you to run the water connection in permanent pipe, copper, or at the very least plastic. If a flexible hose bursts there will be mains pressure water everywhere. At £9.99 for waste and water hose, plus clips etc, I doubt it is well made and of top quality materials.
3. If you do use splitters, make sure the water one is brass, not plastic.
4. Don't forget you need an electrical supply as well.1 -
If you do go ahead, and assuming that the existing washing machine space is close to the sink, consider putting the dishwasher there and putting the washing machine in the new position.
We rinse plates etc before putting them in the dishwasher next to the sink and that would be awkward if the dishwasher were 3 meters away.
Is there a utility or other room where you could install a washing machine?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0
