First PIP payment confusion - no letter received

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can advise, will of course contact DWP tomorrow to try and get clarity, although through reading various forums it seems they may refuse to discuss and instruct to wait for the award letter....
A payment was made for 1321.93 today from PIP, the assessment was a couple of weeks ago (advised the standard 8 weeks for a decision) but no matter which way I try and divide that by the standard/enhanced mobility/living rates, nothing seems to come up to a whole number.....
The form was requested around 1st November 2020, just trying to work out what has actually been awarded, any ideas?

It wouldn't be possible to give any advice here regarding what award you have because it will depend when the decision was made and the cut off date for when they paid you up until for the backdated money. It's not unusual for payment to be received before the decision letter. If you ring them tomorrow morning when they open they will tell you what the decision is and i've never know them to refuse to tell you over the phone.

My entirely speculative guess would be standard rate for both, but as poppy states you will find out for sure when you ring them tomorrow.

From the information given on your PIP form, what did PIP points did you expect?
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

Honestly, given the stories I've read online regards pip applications - my expectation was zero, so I'd not gone too far into how many points I felt I should receive for fear of being given 0, I'll chase it up tomorrow though, thank you for speculating, each way I'd tried to divide it, no answer came up right, so I guess will have to wait and see.

Which goes to prove that maybe you shouldn't read all those negative stories. The majority of people do claim susessfully with no problems. We just don't hear the good stories because if they have a decision they're happy with they have no questions to ask, so we don't hear their story.
