Incredible. My husband got an email reminder/invitation to renew out property insurance, it has gone up he said. He often phones and gets 5/10% off and I think we've been with the same co for some years. When he asked why the premiums had gone up the person on the other end of the phone said as more people were staying at home ie working from home so risks increased. He then asked if this co had given discounts for their car insurance customers answer was no and no real reason given. The good news, he has got a quote from them that is the same as last year and he went ahead and renewed.

I was expecting to get something back. I normally do 12k miles but now I home work it's ~3k. Policy is with One Call and cost £385. Their offer for the significantly lower mileage? £10.
I wasn't expecting it to halve but be somewhere close to Direct Lines industry leading 2% of the premium per 1000 miles. A tenner is frankly insulting so I won't be renewing with them in July.0 -
Thank you. I'm glad as per my post early into the topic that I stated I would not be wasting my time. We have two cars with LV and one is close to 900 and my one is about 600 but still not worth the effort even though we've hard touched the cars.new666uk said:I was expecting to get something back.
