If they do want it back, make sure that they either arrange for a courier collection at a time suitable to you or if you are happy enough to drop the package off somewhere, ensure that they send a prepaid label or send you the payment to enable you to purchase the postage.

Yes, exactly this.  Prepaid or collected, but at no outlay (initial or later) by you.
