VCS proceeded to CCJ. I did not receive a summons

I paid for a VCS parking permit for my allocated space on the 13 Dec 2016. The company failed to send the permit and I subsequently received a PCN on the 27 Dec 16, even though I was parked in my allocated space. I phoned the management company who then sent out the permit, I eventually received this on the 6 Jan 2017.  In February I received a PCN in the post from VCS. I contacted the company and appealed the fine because I felt it was their error that caused me to get a ticket.  I heard nothing back from the company so I assumed they had seen sense cancelled the PCN. Forward to 2020 having moved address I received correspondence from VCS threatening CCJ action. I re-submitted all the evidence of my previous appeal and again did not receive any response. I assumed that they had looked at the evidence and realised their mistake. Wrong, I have just noticed I have two CCJ's against my name on credit check. I did not receive a summons but now have CCJ's against my name. At all times I have responded promptly to VCS but they have not returned that favour. Can anyone advise on a way ahead? thank you
Paul

It is not a summons, it is a civil court issue not criminal.  Your best way forward is to read the NEWBIE sticky (the one that says read  these first before posting) second post which is all about the court process and find the section about "set-asides".

You would never have received a summons , because it is not a criminal matter and would never go to a magistrates court

It's a civil matter so if VCS had used your correct address the CCBC in Northampton would have sent you a Court claim pack , plus a default CCJ notice if you failed their deadlines , these probably went to your old address , hence your predicament

To remove the CCJ you need a set aside , usually paid for , either for £100 or £255

Read the second post of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum regarding set asides

Also read a dozen other recent cases that are similar , to see the amount of work involved , do not think this is easy , there is a lot to understand
