What did the manager at the garage say when you asked them to cancel their contractors ridiculous charge?

What did your MP say when you complained to him/her?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

The manager said they would write to MET parking, and as for my MP I seriously think that they have better things to be doing than getting involved in parking disputes, as there was a large line for the wash I can only assume that they have been treated in the same way ..

and as for my MP I seriously think that they have better things to be doing than getting involved in parking disputesAs a law maker, your MP shouldn't have many better things to do than to involve themselves with issues of the law. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I can think of no better activity for n MP than helping a constituent avoid defeat a scammer..You never know how far you can go until you go too far.3

MPs are (or should be) very aware of the scam of private parking right now, given the new law passed in 2019 and the Code of Practice being worked on:
https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/parking-code-enforcement-framework
This went through Parliament in 2018 with many debates where all MPs are unanimous that change and regulation to stop the worst rogue practices were long overdue. Why do people assume MPs are not interested in stamping out this scam? This isn't a minor issue, it's rife.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Absolutely make sure the manager cancels this. They have that power. If they dont, go to head office, and complain there.
Someone hired the scammers, THEY can get this cancelled4
