Origin Broadband - beware

I was until recently a customer of Origin Broadband for just over three years. During that time I had continually failing service, at least four failures of router which I had to wait a fortnight for a replacement, being palmed off every time by a small cheque for my inconvenience. IMPORTANTLY, when I changed provider, I was notified two months after that I had a balance to pay within 7 days. I replied saying this wasn’t possible, and unreasonable. I shortly after started nasty receiving texts and emails from a debt collection service, for....£25.... which I did not owe. Long and short of it was I did NOT owe anything, and after a lot of time and obstinant correspondence, I have finally received a grovelling apology from Origin saying they have called their dogs off. I want to warn anyone who may consider this broadband provider, DON’T, look elsewhere. Customer service stinks, call on hold time was never less than 40 min, and the person you finally get on the other end will tell lies and rubbish. All in all a horrible and very stressful experience.
