Windows 10 update causes crashes if you try to print

    "Certain printers in certain apps" is not the same as "all printers in all apps".

    The patch that fixed this crash means that images fail to print or pages are near blank. Happened to me where the recycling booking number was an image. Even printing to PDF had the same result. Managed to print from a phone instead. Will wait till the dust settles before chasing an update.

    KB5001649 released to fix the fix
    Updates an issue that fails to print the graphical content in a document after installing the March 9, 2021 update.

    For the past week, I have been able to print perfect test pages from the Canon programme, but completely blank pages from any document. Is it possible the latest Windows update has caused this, because to be quite honest, this has been doing my head in.

    Yes it is. I had the same with a Dymo Label writer. Dymo's recommendation was to go back to an old driver until they sort the problem out. You may find that solution works for you as well.
