Quick question, without wanting to take over a thread. With regards to CCA's would Stepchange have requested these if someone started a DMP with them?
99% sure the answer is no
I`d go one better and say 100% no.
So if I am in a DMP, a couple of years in, would it be possible for me to request the CCA's from the creditors?

Yes, it's a right you have under the Consumer Credit Act

It's a formal thing so you have to do it in writing and enclose £1.

I'm aware of that thank you, I didn't feel asking one question was worthy of starting a new thread.

Debts 2, 3 and 4 are currently unenforceable.

    I'd start with Debt 1 at 25%

If you've got the cash to offer sensible amounts to 2, 3 and 4 should they come up with the goods, then there's no point in continuing monthly payments to those debts

How come you say you're struggling to make the monthly payments when you have the cash to offer lump sum settlements?
Finally heard back from debt 4 (Link)
They have written “Unfortunately The original creditor has confirmed that they not able to comply with your request within the 12 day initial timeframe frame”

Although the account is currently unenforceable the outstanding balance remains collectable and it is acceptable for creditors to register and continue the reporting of a default”

On the basis the default was registered in 2014, and removed in 2020, if I stopped payments now, I’m guessing no harm can come to my credit file?

I’ve had no response from debt 2 or 3.
I’ve written to debt 1 (who produced a CCA) and reduced payments down to £8 per month.

Debt 4 can't do anything to your credit file, and if they started a court claim you now have a solid defence

Can't see any point in paying them anything at the moment
  • So debt 4 confirmed as unenforceable for now.  I've stopped payments from now.
Debts 2 & 3 currently unenforceable on the basis they haven't even acknowledge the letter request and now outside the timeframe anyway....So shall I stop payments to them as well?  These two are Moorcroft (Debt managers, and old tesco loan default drops off in July 21) and Intrum (old tesco credit card, default already gone)

I can't see any point paying them monthly sums if they can't come up with a cca and you are contemplating full & final anyway
