Trying to switch to a Credit Meter.

Not sure if this is the right page. In December 2020. I had a Smart Meter installed for my Electricity. I decided to have one done for my gas. I have been PAYG since I moved into my rented flat last year. I found due to a fault, the work could not be done. A credit check was done to go from PAYG to a Credit Meter. The I applied to have a new Meter, for which the credit check was passed. Yet, I raised a complaint, as an appointment was not kept by British Gas, and I was told to contact British Gas again. My gripe is, that they are saying I have not passed the credit check, which seems strange, that I passed it a couple of weeks ago. Any advice.

Follow the BG complaints procedure. If it doesn't get solved promptly, use snail mail to submit a formal complaint and go to the Ombudsman after eight weeks or upon receipt of a deadlock letter.0
