No doubt a weekly DD would meet the criterion as one of the two.

RBS  requirement is to pay out two direct debits a month, not two "different" direct debits. Therefore the weekly direct debits to things like Post Office or Moneybox qualify for rewards. 
There has to be a minimum pay in of £1250 to a "qualifying account" which can be the reward account or another account. The £1250 per month pay in can be in one or multiple payments, even recycling the same money in and out if you needed to.

I thought their terms are very clear and unambiguous.
