Paint stripping

Hi I've bought a slate mantle that I want to strip back to the slate. The mantle has had 2 coats of paint one white and then black at some point which paint stripper just won't touch, it doesn't even blister at all. I'm not sure if its heat resistant paint or what it could be. It does come off with a blow torch (do not can't be that heat resistant) and scrapper but it's hard graft. There is quite a bit of detail to the mantle so a scrapper and blow torch isnt feasible as I'll end up doing damage to the detailing. Does anyone know of a product or how I could strip this paint. I've tried Nitromors and paint panther stripper but they literally just sat on the surface and did nothing. Shot blaster told me hed do more damage to the slate than it's worth as the shot is steel balls.
Thanks for any help

I'm surprised Nitromors didn't have any affect, how long did you leave it on for?
Here's a similar thread from some years back: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4946257/need-to-remove-paint-enamel-from-slate
I've heard Rustin's Strypit is supposed to be good.1 -
Take it to a company that does dipping & stripping. It may be that the stuff they have in their tanks will get it off..Or you could try Klingstrip, but it isn't cheap (a dip'n'strip may only be £20 or so).Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -

Some stuff you can leave on for up to 24 hours, also covering it in clingfilm helps.1

Nitromors isn't a patch on what it used to be before they reduced the active ingredient, I believe the Rustins stuff is better. I bought some "Synstrip" made by a company called "Starchem" for removing car paint, and it's much better than either of those. It all depends on what kind of paint it is, though.1

The stripping place we used does blasting with ground up glass.
Paint stripper just isn't what it used to be unfortunately.1 -
Is it water based paint such as emulsion, if so strippers won't work on it. Try wetting it and use a combination of scrapers and scourers.
