DHL (via Parcel2Go) in cloud cuckoo land...
max...
I booked a parcel collection this week for a box of around 50 bike magazines sold to a fellow enthusiast online correctly measured and weighed at just under 20kg.
Collected from my doorstep by the helpful courier chappie. Cost around £10 - very fair I thought. Delivered successfully this week.
Lo and behold Parcel2Go send me an email tonight advising me of a surcharge as DHL claim my parcel of 50 mags weighed 88kg...
About the same weight as a washing machine.
They agreed the dimensions of the box 38/30/30cm.
Anyone else had this craziness?

No, though by my calculations even a block of solid concrete with those dimensions would be only 77kg...0

Point out to them that it'd need 3 people to lift that safely, and then ask them to check how many crew members were on the delivery van that day.... that should sort it out!1

I've heard way way too many bad things about Parcel2Go on these forums.
Sounds like its always better to book directly with a courier as then at least there is no middleman.0
