Boiler installation

Options
Hi guys,
Getting a new boiler installed in my home. This is the price quoted:
Labour fee only  - £350, plus £50 to get it signed off by another guy...??
Is this the going rate?

Sounds a bit low. Are either/both these guys Gas Safe registered ?
If not, avoid them like the plague (assuming this is a gas boiler, not electric).

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

I believe the guy coming to check and sign it off, is registered.

What is an average quote for boiler installation then?

When we had a boiler installed in 2013 we paid £300 to a gas safe ex BG newly self employed firm. We bought the boiler and she supplied the consumables. She now charges a bit more, but she has a loyal customer base and prefers to keep it that way.
It may be that they are a team that have 1 qualified and the rest not, the qualified one checks over and signs off, but I'm not sure if that is really compliant if the qualified one is not supervising.

The Flue and gas connection must not be touched by anyone other than a gas safe registered engineer, you are about to employ cowboys.

They are both working illegally, the 1st guy shouldn't be fitting the boiler because he's not gas safe registered & the 2nd guy will be removed & prosecuted if gas safe find out, pay a proper price & don't employ cowboys
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

Can I ask your rough location and what area your heating engineer covers ?  I need a simple swap, don't mind paying decent date rate for a straight combi boiler swap, just want some decent engineer doing it...
