Broken locked old style upvc window lock

Hi we have two older style upvc windows at the front of our house, the one downstairs has the pin centre missing and is locked shut, does anyone know how to open it please? I have tried pulling it up but it’s pretty tight and I don’t want to break the actual lock mechanism inside!
The window upstairs has the centre black pin in tact and opens but has no key (by key I mean pin lock as it doesn’t require a proper key to open). I want to replace both locks (so that we can open the downstairs one and lock the upstairs one) but without being able to get the bottom one off I can’t and it’s stressing me out please help?!

force the handle up . it will break the handle spindle lock before it breaks any mech . just google espag handle and cockspur handle . cockspur have no mech they can just be forced up . espag have the spindle going into the frame and engaging the mech . still can be forced up . when replacing this handle if the windows open put handle in open position pointing the same way as the one that's come off

Some window locks are rudimentary and can be unlocked with a small screwdriver, paperclip, etc.
