Edit. AstonSmith has provided the answer. I will leave the thread as it was in case anyone else is interested.
Hi, Windows 10 64 bit. I use IrfanView 4.54 64 bit for viewing images.
How do I stop it displaying the image file location in the top left hand corner in Full Screen mode as in this part image. It is distracting. I want to see the full image without the file location being displayed. I have tried every menu and I cannot see an option to display or disable file locations.

Thanks

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Found this: -

by asking Auntie Google. It is a German site but the advice seems OK. Also found another site that gave info about how to batch convert and strip the EXIF data but that was for a Mac.1 -
