First Direct stopping texts?

For as long as I can remember, I have had FD send me text messages giving me mini-statement on various accounts. This afternoon I received a text asking if I wanted to continue with this service. Has anybody else had such a text message? Does anyone know if FD plan on stopping this service?

I had the text and phoned them to confirm it was genuine. Yep had it, but not had a text for a long time as account has not been used and sat a nil balance.Life in the slow lane1

Yes, I've had the text. It tells me how to stop future texts. No response required if you wish to continue with the texts.I suspect that if you stop the texts, you might not be able to start them again?1
