I would always go inward opening where possible, with outward you risk gusts of wind pulling the door off its hinges plus i have seen intruders takes doors off the hinges thus bypassing the anti snap locks.Enjoy everyday like it's your last!1

You do still have the option of smacking the door into their face if they're standing too close and haven't noticed that it opens outwards

This morning I was once again bemoaning the inward pulling porch door, and convinced that an outward-opening door was the answer. Learning the security risk has changed all that.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Is there really a security risk? I thought modern doors were not so easy to remove from the hinges.

As we filled in the side passage between the house and garage, we were forced to have an outward opening door because of a step. Luckily it is sheltered from wind by the house itself.Addicted to Scandi noir as we are, it's still surprising to see that outward opening main doors are common there. Surely they'd be opening into snow.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
