Haven't told me, told my friend.
Well, they had cameras pointing at kids in someone else's private property, easier for them and their business to provide reassurance.

We had CCTV installed on Friday.Installer showed me straight away that where he was going to black out the neighbours' kitchen windows. No big deal for anyone. Doesn't affect our security or their privacy. As you can see, the house isn't all Instagramable at the moment 😂Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Out of interest, if you were to move your cameras would the software still blackout the specific area? Are you able to switch off the blackout yourself?

Just to point out as i’ve seen it asked a couple of times in here, the privacy mask is set to an area on the camera feed ‘grid’ irrespective of what’s there, if the camera is moved the mask doesn’t move with it.
Unless it’s a managed service someone’s paying on-going costs for there’s no reason why the owner can’t go in and change the privacy masks. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to, it’s their owned system (if they know how to do it is a different matter). The main part would be if they move the camera the privacy masks can be tweaked but i suppose it also leaves it open for them to remove the masks too.
Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:1
