Washing Machine [Bosch classixx 6 1400 express] Wont spin & Screeching noise [and an F21 error]

Got a Bosch classixx 6 1400 express, was giving errors.
When spinning was making a high pitched whirring/ screeching noise !
Then after some days it gave an F21 error. This was reset using the reset instructions.
but then when rotating the drum with our hands (manually) was giving resistance. (not spinning smoothly, we had to force it)
Now while there is no F21 code (As we reset it) we tried a quick 15 minute load, the drum was Not spinning!
and the screeching noise is still there.
Checked the inside, cannot seem to find any wire stuck, and no coins (from inspection of the rubber drum) - that is without removing the drum or anything.
The high pitched whirring/ screeching noise sounds like a screwdriver forced/pressed up against the 'internal' inside part of the spinning drum , trying to scrape it lol)
1) What is this screeching noise?
2) and from the drum not turning what does it sound like the problem is?
3) Have you had this exact issue on this similar Bosch machine? What was the problem, and how did it get resolved ?

Could be bearings seizing/ seized, or motor bearings seizing, hard to tell without hearing it, usually, an indication of drum bearings is play in the drum, hold the drum at six and twelve o’clock, there should be no movement, ( or very little) but usually it’s accompanied by a rumbling sound, could be a bearing breaking up, you could take the belt off and spin the motor by hand, does it sound noisy..?, as I said, it’s hard to pin it down without hearing, have you googled the fault codes?, might give some clue..0

Could it be the drum bearings failed? If so, it's probably not worth fixing.0

If the drum is stiff to move either the drum is jammed or the motor is. If you can get the belt off you'll find out which. Unplug it first before delving inside. Once the belt is off, if the drum spins freely then you need a new motor. If it still has resistance then it could be something is stuck between the inner metal drum and the outer plastic tub.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

From memory many Bosch drums are sealed unitsEx forum ambassador

F21 is normally motor , could be PCB. As it makes noise and not turning, it indicates towards motor issue. Check brushes first , that is by far the most common reason engine can't turn. Those are cheap, easy to fix and saves you calling in a professional.0

that Bosch has indeed sealed drum so you can't change even bearings, unless you change the lot ( which is very close in price to a brand new machine )0
