Hi I want to create a short video for a charity I'm involved with. I've got some moving pictures, some stills, and a soundtrack. They just need putting together, and some captions adding. Is there a good bit of free software a novice (i.e. me) could do this with, or should I find someone to do it?

Try windows built in software or if you want to edit on phone Quik app is easy to use"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson1

If you are using Win10, then the Video editor is somewhat hidden by being being part of the Photos app ?
Its pretty straight forward though, ideal for a 1st gohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6yQwLuoO3w

I like shotcut, it takes a bit of learning but is free, capable and has an enthusiastic following with good help forums and youtube how to videos. I'm no IT whizz but was up and running with it pretty quick and have learnt more as and when needed.0
