Car finance

I signed a car finance deal 12 days ago and they still shave not released the car to me. They are now saying it is having a service so I have not seen the car in person. I am worried my 14 days rights will be up before I even see the car? Where would I stand... would I not be able to change my mind. When raised the man said it would be 14 days from pick up but then didn’t seem sure

For your information
The 14 day period begins the day after the date the agreement is made (signed by both parties) or the day on which the consumer receives either a copy of the executed agreement (or confirmation of execution in some cases) whichever is the later. Notice of withdrawal can be given in any way and, if the consumer does withdraw, he/she must repay the credit and any interest that has accrued for the time that he has had the credit within 30 days.
Withdrawing from the finance agreement does not cancel the contract to buy the vehicle, which must be paid for using other funds.
In your case have u received confirmation the finance agreement has commenced, the usual practice is not to formally commence the finance contract until the car has been delivered.
What does your agreement to buy the car (ie the order form) say in relation to a change of mind if you don't like the car when you finally get to see it?
Is this a national dealer where the car was at a different site?

There's two things going on here, your statutory right to cancel the finance and your right to cancel the contract to purchase the car (assuming you have purchased it online). Both have a 14 day cancellation period, the period for your finance begins on the day you sign the contract, the period for cancelling the contract of sale begins when you receive the car.gemmylouise said:I signed a car finance deal 12 days ago and they still shave not released the car to me.
