    The deals might require DDs to be setup but only to receive that offer. Switching requires no DDs at all and you can switch any suitable account with the CASS service so yes you can just switch them as I have recently done with the old TSB accounts.
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
