Hi everyone, we made a booking for 2020 through AMS Outdoors in Scotland to do the West Highland Way, this was postponed because of Covid and rescheduled for April of this year. We were in touch with the organisers in October, but have heard nothing since, despite repeated attempts to get in touch. The payment for a package was made by Bank Transfer in 2020. Worryingly we can’t get any reply from AMS, I don’t know what we can do, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

According to Google they are permanently closed.
Their facebook page is not available and website cannot be reached.
According to here https://www.facebook.com/groups/thewesthighlandway/ they have gone 'bust'.0 -
Might be worth asking on TripAdvisor Scotland to see what people in the local area know about it.You can use the names at the sides of the forum to go to more specific forums for areas/towns.It's not looking good but there should be a way to make a claim for a refund. It's finding out how and who to write to.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Hi all, thanks for the replies, they are really helpful. It doesn't make good reading, the debt the company was in was £250,000 with assets of... £314. We've lost, as a group, nearly 5 grand.
It has a trustee on the insolvency notice, do we contact them for any chance of our money back? Again thanks for the help.0 -
You would put in claim to the administrator but you will join a list of creditors for any money available. With the debts and assets you have quoted it is unlikely.
If you paid at least £100 by credit card you could try a claim from them.
Debit card would be a chargeback if you are within the providers time limit.
I am assuming you do not have travel insurance. to claim from.
