I never received an actual ticket SaucySecrets. We booked other holidays with STA in the past & never got a ticket until we check in to the flight.0

These days an "actual ticket" is an email with the ticket number saying that you have a place on the 'plane.

Voyager2000 thanks so much for your reply. It’s all so unclear. Emirates have me on their system but say they can’t process the refund because of the 000 ticket number so I don’t know what any of this means. Issue being, I can’t afford legal help at this point.0

Sorry Voyager 2002 yes I have documentation with all of that information from STA. Flight number. Seat number etc. They just call it an itinerary.0

I can’t understand any of it like how you and your parents booking at same time with same person can have two different “numbers”? Any court should question this BUT can’t be guaranteed as we don’t actually have the dialogue which prevailed between you all.1

Thank you ts21, I will consider that if all else fails. It’s definitely a lot more complex than it appeared at first glance. As a result of decisions made between Emirates & STA, with my money but without my knowledge or consent.0

Thank you for taking the time to read it Tedber. It’s just turned in to such a rigmarole. I really appreciate your input, fingers crossed something comes to light before I have to make the decision of spending my own money to get my own money back...0

Most solicitors will give you a free 30-minute conversation about your case. If you have any trouble finding a solicitor who will offer this, contact your local Citizens' Advice Bureau who will refer you to one. I very strongly advise you to do this before beginning legal action (whether online or at your local court).
Some solicitors operate on a no-win no-fee basis (although people losing cases may find they still have to pay the court fees, which can be a few hundred pounds). Bott and company (their website is EUclaim) is well-known for accepting flight delay claims on this basis. Do be aware that if you fight a case and win, you will almost certainly pay more than if you simply engage a solicitor in the usual way.
