If itt takes six years from bankruptcy date to be wiped off credit file then would this also be automatically discharged then as well?
I keep missing the official receiver, she left messages for me but I have no credit to get back to her and now she won't call me back. If she doesn't call me again at all does that mean I never have to speak to the OF at all and I just wait the six years to be discharged?
That was a while ago now I last had messages from OR, I hear there are record number of people and businesses going bankrupt now, maybe the OR can't cope they are so busy?
Does it matter if I never spoke to them at all?
I should really send them a new state of affairs as my income has gone down even more of late?

Unless you have been given a bankruptcy restriction order or have been told otherwise by the OR, you are discharged from bankruptcy after a year from the date you were declared bankrupt. This means that your debts are wiped out and you are free from the restrictions of bankruptcy - for example, you don't have to report any increases in income, and if you received a large amount of money or an expensive gift, it would be yours to keep.
The six years thing relates to your credit reference file. Even though you are discharged after a year, the bankruptcy remains on your credit file for six years from the date of your bankruptcy, so even though you are free from the restrictions of bankruptcy, the reality is that you will have severe difficulty obtaining most types of credit until after the six years when the bankruptcy has 'dropped off' your record.0 -

If you don't cooperate with the Official Receiver they will suspend your discharge from bankruptcy indefinitely so you will essentially be bankrupt forever.0

I would suggest you find a way to contact the O.R....it's in your interest to cooperate1

Sent you a PM0

Definitely don't ignore the fact they are trying to contact you - whatever it takes - no matter what - you have to call them. The whole interview thing is usually a formality - but if you don't do it - and they think you're hiding something - your bankruptcy restriction could last 15 years! Use a friend or family's phone - sell something to get the credit - this is one call you have to go through.0
