Sony Bravia KDL50W829 kept restarting now doesn't start

I bought a Sony Bravia KDL50W829 in 2014, been working fine but the past week it kept restarting and a bright white light would display on the light panel on the bezel. Last night the telly restarted once and then failed to come back on, what could be the problem?

Faulty PSU by the sound of it.

I have taken the back of the telly off and can't smell anything or see any blown caps

That doesn't mean a lot. I'd leave it to the professionals it want to get it repaired.

Caps may not blow but they dry out which affects their ratings.  Boil a battery almost dry and

see how muchcharge it holds.  Same principle.

Check their capacity.
