Cyprus holiday advice

Hello,
We had a private villa booked for Cyprus last May which obviously we couldn’t go on. The villa owner let us move the booking to 26th May this year.
I had a refund from easyJet on the flights but when the new flight schedule was released I booked and paid in full as was worried about flight price increases if I booked flights later on.
So I have paid villa deposit of £289 (rest of payment due end of March)
Flights £987 (2 adults, 2 children) with easyJet.
By 26th May the uk government could be allowing international travel, but Cyprus have now announced that they’ll only allow travellers who have had both Covid vaccinations.
Will our travel insurance cover us for this? Will our flights be cancelled for those who haven’t had vaccinations?
Will we have to isolate on return (of which my husband won’t be paid for and the children could risk being fined by the school!)
What’s our best option?

You'll need to read your travel insurance policy to find out if it covers you. But the flights won't be cancelled if you haven't had your vaccinations.
You'll need to see what isolation rules are in place at the time.0 -
I understood the new Cyprus rules to be that if you had both doses of the vaccine you could enter without issue. If you hadn't then you would need to have a negative PCR test carried out within 72 hours of landing.
I would suggest that your insurance wouldn't cover any issues connected to Covid as you made the second booking when Covid was a known risk and therefore wouldn't be covered.
If the villa is available and the flights are operating then it would be you cancelling and therefore wouldn't be entitled to any refund

Thrugelmir said:Unlikely. Airlines aren't responsible for the entry requirements of individual passengers. Never have been. This is clearly stated in the booking terms and conditions you agreed to.0
