Problem with a builder

Hi all

I've been having some issues with a builder that has done some work for me, he needs to come back and repair somethings such as cracked tiles and electrical problems that occured shortly after he finished the job within his warranty period, but he's not responding to my texts and emails, I'm guessing that I'll need to take him to small claims court but I'm not sure if I'll get much out of that since the contract is with his ltd company. I'd appreciate any advice regarding this situation as I'm not sure what I'm really doing, for example in terms of giving him a final notice before finding someone else to do the repairs, do I need to send him a recorded delivery letter or will an email/text suffice considering that we've only been communicating via those means through out the contract?

It will be more convincing if you send it by post to the registered office (with proof of posting and/or delivery), pretty easy to deny having received an email. No harm in sending a duplicate by email though.
