Transferring money from an external account

Options
Need to transfer money from a pure savings account with tsb to an account in Lloyd's but they say it can only be done in branch.  We can't get into branch as we are in lockdown on channel islands
Is there a facility for transferring electronically from an external account in UK as there is in USA?

I think you need to give more information before anyone can help.

What type of savings account do you have at TSB? What do the T&Cs for this specific account say about ways to withdraw money? (For example, withdrawals from some savings accounts can only be made to a specific current account registered with the bank where the savings account is held.) Is it TSB who are saying it can only be done in branch? Do they say why - or do they give any other information? Have you contacted them to explain your situation and seek their advice? Do you have a current account with TSB?

What type of account at Lloyds do you want the money to go in? Is this an existing account or will you be opening a new account? What do the T&Cs for this specific account say about ways to deposit money? Do you have a current account at Lloyds?

Move the money to a TSB current account and then effect the transfer online.

    I had a similar issue

i wanted to transfer money from a TSB easy saver account to my Halifax current account

the only way was to open a TSB spend and save current account

then used telephone banking to transfer money from the Easy acc to the spend and save current acc

Then I could transfer to the Halifax current account

If the bank says "no", you have the answer. The rules for CI branches will be different to UK branches but you need to investigate alternatives. Will they post you a cheque?
