Bought karcher from Wickes end of Nov 2020. Went to use today for a second time and it’s leaking inside. Took it back to Wickes today and was told as it’s over 30days old I have to contact Karcher myself and they will collect from my house. Is that correct?

They can outsource the repair process yes.You can be pedantic and force them to deal with it but you are just going to be spending a lot of time getting them to and a longer time while they foprward it to the same place and get it back.In this case Karcher woyuld be acting as Wickes and not as the manufacturer. If however there is somethuibng that suggesrts this uis differnent then you should not.

Used once Ok. Left in shed whilst abnormal freezing conditions?del3165 said:Bought karcher from Wickes end of Nov 2020. Went to use today for a second time and it’s leaking inside. Might have blown water filled parts/seals inside?
Contact Karcher it is under warranty. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Karcher's under warranty service is great, last year, in the middle of the lockdown my sister had a problem with her pressure washer. It was about ten months old, Karcher sent a label and arranged pick up, it was collected on the Wednesday, inspected and fixed on the Thursday, dispatched back and delivered on the Monday.
Go via Karcher, doing so has no impact on any rights and will get the issue sorted quickly.1 -
Agree with the above, it'll be much quicker to get it sorted by dealing directly with Karcher, it's not going to affect your consumer rights.0

Sounds like it has frozen and damaged something ,at least the manufacturers should sort it out0

I don't want to jump to conclusions - but as mentioned already - it does sound like it's been frozen - and we've had a lot of cold weather. Did you keep it in an outbuilding? If so there's a chance that K'archer won't repair it if there's evidence of it being frozen. Water expands and damages the internals, which is why they put warnings on the boxes and the instruction manuals. K'archer are a decent company though, so you may find they'll do it as a gesture of goodwill (Should my guess be right).del3165 said:Bought karcher from Wickes end of Nov 2020.
