Decorator left ragged edges

I have had 2 rooms wallpapered with thermal liner, the first they did a great job, the second the edges are ragged along the edge. I’ve not paid them yet but I’m quite unhappy. Any ideas on next options? It can’t be removed as the glue is too strong but maybe filled?

I think that's why decorator's caulk was invented.    If you haven't employed them to do the painting then it was always half a job.

There's no context in this pic for the size of the gaps.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • I have employed them to caulk and paint, that’s the problem, the gap is 3mm between the edges and 7mm in the corner.

Have you asked them about it?  If they did the first one, they possibly just forgot, or you say 'they' so maybe each thought the other had done it as a last finishing off job (unless you were going for gender neutral and there's only one!).

    Is it finished then?

Yes it’s finished, I have asked them about it they said it is difficult to fill because of the thermal paper which is soft. And the glues so strong they say they can’t remove that strip. Apparently cutting it is really hard but that’s why I paid someone else to do it.

Part of the process of hanging lining paper to paint over is to fill all the edges and joins prior to painting. Any decent decorator would've done that.
