I agree that you should deal with and try to avoid loans and finance.
If you've not yet invested directly in shares, it sounds like you are close to doing this. Why not consider investing a couple of hundred pounds in your favourite FTSE company?1 -

I think either a few hundred added to existing HL Managed Funds.
If not, maybe I'll choose a new tech or biotech type fund-something interesting.

5k loan repaid today- due to debit 1st April.
That's 890 interest saved@150 per month 3.5 years.
I'll continue with HL isa top up until I read recent employers Pension details, hopefully next week or two.
