    That was exactly my thought. I can't see the logic in a tracker when fixed is lower and even if base rates go to zero the fixed rate will still be lower
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    I agree that you should deal with and try to avoid loans and finance.
    If you've not yet invested directly in shares, it sounds like you are close to doing this. Why not consider investing a couple of hundred pounds in your favourite FTSE company?

    Thanks It had been some time for any movement in Natwide rates, though 2 year fix is tempting.

    Not quite confident of Individual stocks, dabbled in workplace sharesave.
    I think either a few hundred added to existing HL  Managed Funds.
    If not, maybe I'll choose a new tech or biotech type fund-something interesting.

    5k loan repaid today- due to debit 1st April.
    That's 890 interest saved@150 per month 3.5 years.
    I'll continue with HL isa top up until I read recent employers Pension details, hopefully next week or two.
    Haven't made any Mortgage swaps, have 2 months yet.
