Battery for Dyson V7

I guess that I need a new battery for my Dyson V 7 as it isn't holding a charge.  There are various prices on t'interweb but am nervous about opting for the lower prices.  Do I need to go to Dyson or can I rely upon a cheaper one.
Does anyone have experience of this?  Thanks.

I bought one from Amazon for a V6, has lasted well and never had an issue. Cost about £30, plus it was 40000mAH v 2000mAH of the original.

As above , got one off eBay , made sure it was a UK based seller with plenty of good feedback

Think it's now lasted longer than the original

I noticed whilst looking at these batteries that a rest period after use, to cool off, is advised before recharging.   I either didn't know this or forgot if it was in the instructions.

Is this common for all rechargeable batteries?  My bike (Bosch battery) for example?
