MSE credit club score different to experian

Been a member of MSE credit club for a while now and my rating has been stuck on fair, 21 points below a good rating. I also have a 3 year old default from BT for only 11 pounds. I signed up for the actual experian service and my rating was 999 and excellent. No default there either! Why would they be both be so different when MSE credit club uses Experian
Also, signed up to the Equifax service and the default was there with a rating of good.
Really confused 😕

Is the history correct on both ?
If so then dont worry about it, your score is only seen by you and only you.0 -

Its a bit odd as the credit club rake the info from the provider or Experian in this case.0

Has the difference been apparent for some time - or have you only signed up to Experian direct tonight (or recently?)
The scores are updated on the free services once a month - and in between they might go up and down like Boris Johnsons boxer shorts - you might find that the credit club score is obtained on X day - and the Experian direct score updates on Y day - the days will vary depending on which date your registered both accounts.
So originally you might have signed up for the credit club on the 20th of a month - and so it updates every 20th - and then you signed up for the Experian direct account on the 5th of the month - and that updates every 5th - so both can show different scores as the scores can go up and down each and every day.
And of course - you do know it's not the score you should be looking at right? But focussing on the history?0 -
Check that you’re address and personal details are correct on experian as if it’s not up to date it will not display all accounts and history0

As others have said, the credit score is something only you can see, so I'd not worry too much. Experian and MSE credit club will get it sorted, eventually. My scores with both have sometimes been different too. And they're certainly different with different agencies. Sometimes I'll be 'fair' with one of them yet 'excellent' with another. Lenders can't see the scores, though. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
