Scottish power - Bill amount in minus

Hi everyone.
I have been a SP customer for close to a year and I have been paying both electric and gas bills on estimated meter readings as my electric meter was faulty(had no display) and the gas meter is in a locked communal space where I don't have access to. They recently installed a new smart electric meter at the property and billed me based on those actual electric readings while gas readings are still estimated and now sent me a new bill for £437 and have also sent me to pay that bill till 15th of this month. I have been trying to contact their customer support for the whole week to get clarification as I can't seem to download the PDF from my online account so I have no idea how they come up with that bill and if that means I have been charged way more than I have actually consumed, can I ask for a refund as I plan to leave the next month when my year ends and move to some other company where they can attend a call, or reply emails back. Will I need the actual readings on both electric and gas meters to switch to a new supplier?

Why hasn't the gas meter been updated to a smart meter?
If they don't have meter readings they will have yo go off estimates. If you think the estimate readings are inaccurate based on your previous years meter readings you can negotiate with them and send previous bills as evidence of your usage.
Switching providers before you get your meters completely sorted is asking for a nightmare and mess. Get the meters sorted first so you can actually get the accurate reads, then switch.0
