My mum died in 2011, aged 83, and my dad, who was 11 years older than her, had died in 1994. So she could well have been underpaid pension, I therefore contacted DWP in March 2021 and, 4 years later, they have written to say they no longer have her pension records as they keep them for only 7 years (citing data protection regulations as the reason). As I can't prove she was underpaid it appears I will never find out if she was underpaid.
