I think the quote is way off. Remove the bath & reposition sink about 1/2 a day. Wall boards are around £120/£150 each (1.2mtrX2.4mtr) If you are just having a normal shower base fitted then the plumbing is not that hard. The shower if electric is a couple of hundred or if its ran off the boiler max £500 (including shower). My local plumber/ gas engineer charges £60/ hr but if its just normal plumbing work he uses one of his workers to do it for around £180 a day. I would guess that £1500 for materials 3 days even at £60/hr is £1440. Ask for a breakdown of the pricing & get another quote.

Thanks that is what I thought, the shower i already in place, got a full breakdown, labour £1750, quadrant shower with tray £868, accessories £868 plus VAT....0

From the numbers you have supplied the quote is still £500 more thats including vat. Plus quadrant shower is about £300 & same for a high quality base = £600. Plus most plumbers get a discount from the suppliers sounds like he is chaging the full price & taking the discount as profit. Whole thing sounds a bit off.
