    If there are 2 or more adults then you pay 100% and there is no 25% discount. Some adults are not counted as adults for tax purposes. If you live there e.g. bills registered there, you shouldn't be trying to claim a discount.

    I don't think there's any suggestion that the OP is trying to claim a discount ?


    If OP's partner is added to the CT list, the OP's partner, who, was able to claim 25% discount, won't be able to any more.
    It doesn't matter whether or not a second occupier's name is on the CT bill, single person discount does not apply where there are 2 or more adults living in a property. However full time students and apprentices are not counted when calculating how many adults are living at a property.
