IVA and credit files
In 2015 I had debts of £113,000 (mainly business)
I completed an IVA (with a final lump sum agreed by creditors)in 2019
The question is how long a credit card debt stays on my credit file .
6 years from when I started IVA or completion.
At the moment it says I’ve missed payments since January 2015 and in default

Hi,
Defaulted debt`s show on your credit file for 6 years.
The default date on all your debts included in the IVA should be no later than the date your arrangement started.
So if you entered insolvency in 2015, the defaults will all drop off sometime this year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
