I would like to know if there is any help. My 3 year old yorkie has to have an opperation on both her back knees as they slip out the socket. It will cost £3K. I have no pet insurance, and a single person with low income, it just covers my bills.
Thanking you in advance.

Although it's not a current article, this gives details of some charities who may be able to help with the cost of veterinary treatment.Movingforwards has asked the key question.

There is a charity that gives veterinary care to dogs whose owners have housing problems:

I don't know of anything just for people on low incomes though.0 -
Some of the charities which are able to help require claimants to be on specific benefits or live in a particular area.
You might see if any of the vets in your area are in the PDSA scheme

PDSA are only dealing with emergency at the moment due to covid restrictions.
Details of normal eligibility for treatment are here.
https://www.pdsa.org.uk/taking-care-of-your-pet/our-services
if you use the Pet Care Scheme at participating vets you have to pay a monthly fee and qualify fpr 20% off any treatment.
