New M&S in Llanelli
Visited the above today - didn't mean to, I went shopping at Trostre and didn't realise it was opening today - and I must say it's well worth a visit, I was quite impressed. It's really large and also has a food hall to the side. I didn't get to see upstairs though as I had DS in the buggy and the lift was broken. Probably a good thing because M&S children's clothing is pretty good of late and so I probably saved myself a fortune!
Beware the traffic though - Trostre Park is bad enough anyway - I was there just before 10am this morning and they had people directing the traffic in the car park. Bedlam doesn't even begin to describe it!

So tempted... so very tempted....
glad you warned us about the parking, these new parcs are a nightmare.
We got stuck in Fforestfach for over an hour last year, it gridlocked after the council changed the traffic light sequence and didn't remember the pre-Christmas shopping rush
Parc Tawe is so bad we don't go there between November and February!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I've never had too much of a problem in Morfa (Swansea) even when the Swans have been playing at home (and I'm very fond of their New Look store, especially the children's clothes). But the worst is definitely Fforestfach. I usually go there early morning on the days I'm home with DS and it's quite quiet then. Trostre park has got some people directing traffic but I'm not sure how much that helps with the traffic nightmare!

I keep forgetting Morfa - have only been twice since it opened! - but I like Bon Marche as great value work clothes, the Boots is good and had a real bargain in TKMaxx so shall def head there soon.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

Trostre is a nightmare at minute with all the roadworks. Also, now the old main entrance off the Trostre roundabout by McDonalds is now a one way bus lane! But the signage is awful. Hopefullt when they manage to sort it out then it will be better. I love Trostre now they have all the new shops, its so much easier than going into Swansea/Llanelli.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

I visited the new M&S on the day it opened and the parking wasn't too bad late afternoon. The latest news is that W.H Smiths are to close in Llanelli town and is moving to Trostre Park. Does anyone know yet what shops are planned for Pemberton Park? I know Homebase is going there, but there appears to be a lot of units being built.0

I was wondering that too about Pemberton. I'd heard there was going to be a Harvester and a Travel Lodge there, but my Husband works in the hospital - Gossip Central for Llanelli!
To be honest with you, driving past it, I'm not really sure where the stadium is going to be!

I think the stadium is going on the patch of land between the main road and the bottom site houses in Cefn Caeau. Not sure how parking is going to be arranged though. I live the other side of Sandy Bridge to Stradey Park and on Thursday night there were cars parked on every spare piece of land (and even all the way down Sandy Bridge), even down as far as Sandy Water Park.

Ahhhhhhhh, right, I though it was that side. I agree with you totally about the parking, I grew up in Nevill Street and went to Stradey every home game, wouldn't even consider taking the car  . Now I live down Morfa
, and don't take the car to Trostre (I know it's only round the corner but I'm a lazy pants
). I can totally understand both sides of the "moving the stadium" debate - Pemberton = madness with parking, Stradey new houses

The cars that litter the roads around Stradey mainly belong to Scarlets "supporters" who will not pay the car parking fees to support their club. I am just glad that I have garage at the rear of Sandy Road0
